You will need:
A. Tape Measurer
B. Six foot level and two foot level -or- laser level

There are six measurements to take. We can break them up into two catagories.

1. - Width & Height ( B - T - H )
2. - Plumb & Level ( R - L - C )

Width & Height
1. Measure the distance between the side walls at the bottom (B)
2. At approximate door height, Measure the distance between the side walls at the top (T)
3. Measure the distance you want the top of your glass to come to. (H)

Plumb & Level
NOTE: The solid lines represent a perfectly plumb and level opening. The dotted lines represent out-of-plumb & out-of-level surfaces.

1. Put a 6' level vertically against the left wall where the glass will be. If the bubble is centered in the level, the wall is plumb.
If not, move the bottom or top of the level until the bubble is centered. Measure the distance between the side wall and the level. This is how much out of plumb your wall is.
If your wall is plumb L= ( 0 ).
If your wall leans out at the top (you have to pull the level in at the top) then L= ( + your distance )
If your wall leans in at the top (you have to pull the level in at the bottom) then L= ( - your distance )

2. Repeat the proceedure for the right wall.
If your wall is plumb R= ( 0 ).
If your wall leans out at the top (you have to pull the level in at the top) then R= ( + your distance )
If your wall leans in at the top (you have to pull the level in at the bottom) then R= ( - your distance )

3. Lay a 2' level horizontally on your curb. If the bubble is centered in the level, the curb is level.
If not, lift the right or left end of the level until the bubble is centered. Measure the distance between the curb and the level. This is how much out of level your curb is.
If your curb is level C= ( 0 ).
If your curb is lower on the right side (you have to pull the level up on the right) then C= ( + your distance )
If your curb is lower on the left side (you have to pull the level up on the left) then C= ( - your distance )

To double check your measure T= B+(R+L)
NOTE: we will make the deductions necessary for your door to fit properly.
